The official portal of the Independent National Electoral Commission has undergone an immediate update to reflect the newly approved logo, branding, and national executive lineup of the Nigeria Democratic Congress. The administrative adjustments carry a specific tag indicating they were executed by court order, signaling the resolution of a recent legal dispute between the electoral body and the political organization.

The breakthrough comes in the wake of a judgment delivered by Justice J. O. Abdulmalik at the Federal High Court in Abuja regarding suit number FHC/ABJ/CS/1814/2026. The litigation arose after the commission declined to acknowledge or upload the revised logo and color scheme that the party had formally adopted during its first National Executive Committee assembly. Ruling on the matter, Justice Abdulmalik explicitly deemed the commission’s non-recognition of the modified branding as unconstitutional, ruling it a direct violation of the political association’s legal rights.

In strict compliance with the judicial directive, the commission has validated five primary leadership roles within the party’s administrative structure. The updated official roster formally lists Cleopas Moses Zuwoghe as the National Chairman and Ikenna Morgan Enekweizu as the National Secretary. Additional key appointments uploaded to the system include John Odey as the National Treasurer, Mainasara Abubakar Sani as the National Financial Secretary, and Reuben Egwuaba as the National Legal Adviser, cementing the party’s legal and administrative standing.
